Biggest Pop Culture Crimes of 2020

In a year that has been taken over by traumatic and pressing real-life issues, we often forget about the simpler times. A time where we could overreact about the small things and complain about stuff that is completely irrelevant given our current circumstances. But as this nightmare of a year comes to a close, I feel that it is only right to put together such a list. With that being said, here is my breakdown of 2020’s biggest pop culture catastrophes.

We got that 2000’s hint of nostalgia we all asked for, but this time, in the worst way possible:

There was yet another High School Musical Reunion without Zac Efron (a sellout),

the reboot of Zoey 101 now stars this dude,

and Disney’s live action Mulan got was simply a flop.

Longtime YouTube Kingpin Shane Dawson showed off a brand new side to himself this year:

The social star got WAY too close to the camera during this June 30th live stream,

he then beefed it up with the Jaden and Jada Pickett Smith,

and subsequently brought back one of the most cursed videos of all time (viewer discretion is advised).

This Twitter conversation definitely didn’t help…

nor this this one…

and a bad year only got worse when Tiger King’s Carol Baskin took the floor on Dancing With The Stars.

Speaking of Carol Baskin, how could I forget the ACTUAL crimes that we’re committed this year:

Jake Paul shocked no one when he had a COVID party at his Calabasas mansion,

the same house that was raided by the FBI in early August.

He wasn’t alone, though. Remember when Larray and The Hype House had a shindig of their own?

And who could forget when Bryce Hall made the mainstream news…

twice!

So much has happened this year, we often forget that Aunt Becky is going to jail for a couple of months…

and that rapper Tory Lanez literally shot Megan Thee Stallion.

But above all, I think that the WORST pop culture crime of this year has to be this:

Why Vin…just Why?
