Three vocalists (Angie Green, Luke Brown, and Maci Wood) and four dancers (Jayna Hughes, Sasha Marie, Tray Taylor, and Drew Venegas) make up The Future X. The supergroup is the brainchild of Entrepreneur and Artist Manager Simon Fuller (American Idol, Amy Winehouse, Spice Girls), who spent the past year curating the collective in an exclusive partnership with TikTok. Talent discovery through the app has never been more popular, and the recent move sets a new precedent for the capabilities of the social media platform.

In true Gen Z fashion, The Future X announced their formation through TikTok on January 14th. With a combined 4.7 million followers, the group has already had its taste of fame.

Tray Taylor is perhaps the most notable member of the septet, with over 3.8 million followers on the app alone. Angie Green saw her earliest success as a contestant on America’s Got Talent, where she became a fan favorite during the show’s 12th season. Luke Brown is best known for his song covers on YouTube and SoundCloud, while Andrew Venegas has seen recent success as a choreographer. Jayna Hughes, Sasha Marie, and Maci Wood have all seen significant viral success in their respective fields and now embark on a new journey with the creation of the group.

The Future X is currently working on their debut album and will release their first single, “This Kind of Love,” in March via Columbia Records.
