Cammie Robinson

Cammie Robinson

Cammie Robinson’s powerful vocals have become a mainstay in today’s Pop/EDM culture. The artist began her musical journey over a decade ago when she wrote her first songs. Fast forward to today, and the artist now boasts nearly 15 million Spotify listens. Her story is any young artist’s dream; Only three years into her professional debut, Robinson has worked with the EDM titans Flux Pavilion, Adventure Club, and Delta Heavy, just to name a few. Her 2017 single, “Pull the Trigger,” was a huge hit, earning over 6 million Spotify streams. And in 2020, the singer shows no signs of stopping. Robinson is currently working on her first studio album while gearing up for yet another major release. We recently talked to her about her past collaborations, favorite artists, and more!

How did you get started making music?

I first started about 12 years ago, just playing guitar and writing my own songs. It has been a very long process to get to where I am now.

You collaborated with Flux Pavilion in 2017, who are currently major players in the EDM scene. What was it like working with them?

Josh is awesome, he was very welcoming to hearing my creative process. The writing process was very methodical and he pushed me to write to my full potential on that record, which I still thank him for. It was great working with him.

Which artists have had the greatest impact on your career?

Working with Flux Pavilion opened a lot of doors for me to do feature work and even write for some amazing acts. It was the song that defined my career. I've also been writing with PBH & Jack, and recently did a remake of Haddaway's “What is Love” and it’s out now! They are a very talented pair who are making their way up the ladder!

Much of your released music is EDM based. Has there ever been the temptation to switch genres?

Although a lot of my music is EDM based, I try not to give myself a definition when it comes to genre, I write how I feel, and it works. I am writing a studio album this year which will lean more towards edgy-pop and commercial pop.

Are there any future projects that fans can be looking forward to?

Yes! I have a year's worth of work being released every four weeks so be sure to check my Spotify, or your preferred streaming service. One I can finally mention is my collaboration with Adventure Club (Grammy nominated act), which will release in August on Ultra Music. This is highly anticipated and one of the biggest tracks I have out this year.

Favorite non-music activities?

I love to draw and paint. Little known fact about me, but it's very relaxing. I also love getting outdoors, urban exploration, and live music.
