How did you start making music?
Grew up in a family of musicians. I was a theatre kid so spent the majority of my childhood on the stage.
It’s your day off: How are you spending it?
Massive breaky at my fave diner followed by going to the cinemas then playing poker with my mates.
“Harry” was a fantastic song and a great success for you. Did you ever expect the track to take off like it did?
Thank you! I don't really know if I "expected" it. But I mean, once my face became world wide news, I kind of knew the song was going to have its moment too.
Let's talk about the new music! What was the inspiration behind "Devil On My Shoulder"?
I deal with a lot of anxiety and sometimes it's hard to shake off those voices in your head. So instead of fighting it, I decided I'd become friends with the devil on my shoulder instead. Can you relate?
"Stick To Your Guns" features such a great sound, reminiscent of the 2000's Rock/Pop era. Who were some of the artists during that time that influenced your music style?
Green Day, The Libertines, Razorlight, Oasis, My Chemical Romance, The Strokes... just to name a few.
It’s collab time: Who are you choosing to make a song with?
Harry Styles or Yungblud.
Where is your go-to location when it's time to song write?
Don't have a go to really. Anywhere with an instrument. Some songs start in the car, some songs start in the studio.
Tell us about your experiences in the music industry as an up-and-comer.
I don't really think of myself as an "up and comer.'' I'm just an artist doing my thing. making music and being on tour. try not to get too caught up in all the BS but it's hard. I try to think outside the box with everything I do. My publicity stunt last year is a perfect example. we wanted to do something that wasn't expected to get that song its time in the sun. That shit is fun.
Any future projects for fans to get excited about?
KK1 is coming.
