How did you get started making music?
I’ve always dabbled in music and performing since I was a kid, but it wasn’t until my friends pushed me to show the internet the songs I’ve written in my old diary haha.
“STUCK WITH YOU” was a huge hit for you. What inspired the hit?
Being in your 20s is weird, a lot of my friends and I were figuring out how to navigate through relationships. A lot of us had to learn the hard way, hence the song.
Walk us through your typical songwriting process.
The process that I usually go through is having a producer sit down in the studio with me while we jam, and the ideas usually come along while building a track. So it could be a lead sound in the track that kicks off my writing process. I’ve tried writing songs before the track exists but it usually ends up being whiny poems hidden away in my notebook heh. So yeah, track first!
It's collab time: Who are you choosing to make a song with?
Audrey Nuna, Rex Orange County, BENEE, Benny Sings, Pharrell Williams?! It’s a pretty long list, and it keeps growing haha.
Dream venue?
Honestly, I’d like to see a video of a Lunadira NPR set or one on COLORS. But if I get to perform for one of Beyoncé’s private events that’ll be cool. Or Lovebox. Or any festival outside of KL, really.
Favorite non-music activities?
Doodling and writing! I have a lot on my mind most of the time and it helps redirecting those thoughts in more productive and positive ways. :)
What future projects can fans look forward to?
More music!! Probably music that you thought I would never do but I hope you guys like it!!! Cause I do!
