His town has produced some of the most popular internet celebrities of today, including YouTube personalities David Dobrik, Natalie Mariduena, and Durte Dom. It is without question that Sal is well on his way to similar success. We recently spoke to the creator about where he gets the inspiration for his TikToks, favorite trends, and more!

Tell us a little about yourself.

I live in the Chicago area in a town called Vernon Hills. Ever since Vine came out, I’ve always been so entertained with short funny videos that I could binge watch for hours. Most importantly I love traveling and my favorite food is chicken nuggets.

Did you have any specific plans or ideas when you joined TikTok?

Not really, I kind of just did it for fun. I didn’t expect to hit a million so quickly.

If you could add a feature to TikTok, what would it be?

A cool feature that I would add on TikTok would be a duet feature when going live, kind of like Instagram when you bring in a friend to go live with you. I feel like it would be an amazing opportunity to get to interact with fans from around the world.

Which TikToker would you choose for a collab?

If I could choose any TikToker to collab with, it would definitely be with Brent Rivera. He’s funny and has a great personality, I really enjoy his prank TikToks that he does with his sister and his friends.

What was the last song you listened to?

“Intentions” by Justin Bieber.

Where do you draw your inspiration from when creating TikToks?

By watching a lot of Disney Channel and Nickelodeon everyday. I really enjoy Drake and Josh, Henry Danger, Zoey 101 and Wizards of Waverly Place.

What was your favorite video to make and why?

My favorite video to make was the “Disney Be Like” video of me pretending to fall down a ladder to help a friend with his exam. Also, the Disney video I made at the grocery store with Durte Dom was super fun and exciting to make.

Are you planning for a career in social media after the recent success?

Yeah I’m just seeing where things go. Would be great to be in a show or movie one day, I feel like that would be a ton of fun!
