Hrebenar is a clear voice for the LGBTQ community, as her content is based around making relatable videos for a lesbian audience. This niche is certainly one that has paid off, as her fanbase has grown exponentially in just a few months. The entertainer’s content consistently provokes a knowing laugh from her followers, and being consistently accessible and funny is something she prides herself on. We recently spoke with Kelly about her inspiration for her ideas, her favorite TikTok trend, and more!
Did you have any specific plans or ideas when you joined TikTok?
I actually didn’t, it took me a while to hop on the bandwagon but as soon as I got into it I was hooked. I started just posting random things for fun and eventually saw that there was a huge lesbian audience that I could make relatable content for. It sort of just took off from there. People liked and related to what I was putting out there and I have so much fun doing it.
Where do you get inspiration for your ideas?
Most of my inspiration comes from things that have occurred in my daily life. It’s nice to have a platform where we can all be open and see that there are so many other people out there who relate to things that we feel or things that we have been through, good or bad. I try to just be honest and relatable and of course add some humor to it.
Which TikToker would you choose to team up with for a dream collab?
Is it too predictable if I say Charli? She’s a queen and although I would most likely embarrass myself if we did a dance together it would be worth it to meet her. Her success is inspiring.
What was the last song that you listened to?
“Satisfied” from Hamilton. That soundtrack has been on repeat for me all week!
What’s your favorite TikTok trend?
This one Is hard. I can’t pick an all time favorite but my current favorite I’d have to say is the videos where people show what they would do if they were in the hunger games. Those ones Are hilarious and all very relatable.
You have a day off. Where are you going?
To the pool or the beach! I’ve always felt like I was meant to be by the water, so if I can spend my day in the sun with friends that’s where I’ll be!
What do you enjoy most about creating content?
The thing I enjoy most is seeing that people relate so much to certain things that you do, or things that have happened to you. Just making people laugh and feel like they aren’t alone. I also love that I can connect with people all over the world. I’ve talked to and met so many amazing people that I never would have had the chance to without social media.
Any plans for a career in social media following your recent success?
I’ve always thought that a career in social media would be something that I would enjoy. I never planned for my tiktok to take off but it’s given me a bigger audience on all of my platforms so I wouldn’t be opposed if it lead to something more. For now though I’m just having fun and enjoying making content for people in my community!
