Did you ever think about starting a dance trend? Just ask @coolasoneil, a viral dance challenge connoisseur who continues to blow up the TikTok space. His TikTok trend using Lil Yatchy’s “Coffin” quickly became a fan favorite-- but he hasn’t stopped there. The “CEO of Underrated” continued to impress in the space, collabing with names such as @aspectzavi_, @traybills, and more! He has a TikTok following of over 270k, which continues to grow with each new dance he creates. O’Neil says that his focus right now is expanding his YouTube channel and being his best self in everything that he does. We spoke to the up and comer about the inspiration for his content, who he owes his biggest thanks to, and more!

Hi! Tell us a little bit about yourself. How did you get started on the app?

My name is O’Neil and I’m an influencer/entertainer. I make content YouTube videos, dance, and make music. I got started on the app because one of my challenges blew up & I didn’t know about it.

Which is the one video that you credit for starting off your TikTok success?

I make viral dance challenges & I made this one challenge by Lil Yatchy called “Coffin” & it blew up.

Who was the first creator that you became friendly with after starting on the app?

I would say Dubsmash Dancers because I was dancing on there before I got on TikTok & most people already knew me from Instagram.

You recently created a dance trend. Talk a little about what went into that and some of the feedback you've been receiving.

I received a lot of love from making that challenge everyone loves it & people are still hitting it today, it also helped my fan base as well because I’m known for making dance challenges.

Has the recent social media success changed your life at all? How so?

It has because it opened up more opportunities for me as in everything that I do being an entertainer.

What can we catch you doing on your day off?

Making content, work on my YouTube; I work every day so I don’t miss days.

How has the pandemic affected your ability to make content?

I feel like it affected certain places that I can go or do more things but it definitely helped me focus more on myself & work harder.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

I would say super speed lol because I feel like I would be the flash type. I’d like to have a speed power lol.

Who do you owe your greatest thanks to?

My family (parents & siblings) & my manager (Keith Dorsey) helped me so much in my career, so my thanks go out to them.

Lastly, what's next for you?

Well, my focus right now is being the best I can be in every area (with making YouTube content, making music, & dance challenges & vids). I’m going to stay focused & keep growing.
